The Sea Bull's Secret Treasure

Lily loved exploring the rocky beach near her grandmother's cottage. One misty morning, she spotted something enormous splashing in the waves. A massive bull with shimmering silver fur was swimming gracefully through the surf! Lily had never seen a swimming bull before.

The bull noticed her and paddled closer. His eyes sparkled like underwater stars.

"Hello, little friend," he said in a deep, rumbly voice that made the sand vibrate. "I'm Barley, the last sea bull."

Lily gasped. "You can talk!"

"Sea creatures have many secrets," Barley winked. His wet nose wiggled. "Would you like to see my magical underwater garden?"

"But I can't breathe underwater!" Lily said sadly.

Barley chuckled and tapped his horn. A tiny drop of golden liquid fell into Lily's palm. It glowed like liquid sunshine.

"This is a special vitamin from the mermaids," Barley explained. "One sip, and you can swim with me for an hour."

Lily drank the golden drop. Warmth spread through her body. When she jumped into the waves, she could breathe! She and Barley dove beneath the surface, where fish made rainbow paths through coral castles. Sea turtles smiled as they passed.

In a secret cave, Barley showed her his treasure—not gold or jewels, but glowing pearls that held happy memories.

"Every friend I've ever made is in here," Barley said softly.

When the hour ended, Lily floated back to shore, her skin tingling with magic.

"Will I see you again?" she called.

"Always believe in magic," Barley answered, disappearing into the waves.

That night, Lily discovered something wonderful: the sea bull's magic lingered. She could understand what the seagulls were saying, and sometimes, in her dreams, she swam with Barley through endless underwater meadows, collecting more friendship pearls.

Some things are real only if you believe.
