The Running Bull's Special Vitamin

Leo lived on a sunny farm with rolling green hills and animals of every kind. But there was one animal who always seemed lonely—the big brown bull named Buster. Buster spent his days alone in the far pasture, watching the other animals play together.

Every morning at sunrise, Leo would watch something amazing. Buster would run! He'd gallop around his pasture like a ballerina, his hooves dancing across the grass. But when Leo tried to pet him, Buster would shy away.

One day, Leo's grandmother gave him a small orange pill from her garden. "This isn't just any vitamin," she whispered with a twinkle in her eye. "This is a friendship vitamin. It helps you understand what others are feeling inside."

Leo didn't really believe in magic vitamins, but he decided to try. The next morning, he brought the vitamin to Buster's pasture. The bull's big brown eyes watched him carefully. Leo placed the orange pill on a juicy apple and held it out.

"For you, Buster," Leo said softly.

To Leo's surprise, Buster ate the apple—and suddenly, Leo could feel what Buster was feeling! Buster wasn't mean or scary at all. He was lonely. He wanted to run and play with the other animals, but he was afraid they would be scared of his size and horns.

"Run with me!" Leo called, grabbing his favorite ball.

Buster's eyes lit up. Together they ran—Leo's small feet and Buster's big hooves flying across the grass. The other farm animals watched in amazement as the boy and the bull raced around the pasture, laughing and playing.

From that day on, Buster was never lonely again. Leo and Buster became the best running buddies on the farm. And Leo learned that sometimes, the thing that makes someone different is what makes them special.

The friendship vitamin didn't really have magic powers. The magic was in Leo's heart—in giving someone a chance and looking past appearances. And that's the best kind of vitamin there is!
