The Running Boy's Glowing Trail
Timmy had a secret friend named Lumi. Only Timmy could see her - a small, glowing creature who loved to play hide and seek among the fireflies. But lately, Lumi was fading away, becoming more transparent each day.
"I need moon vitamins," Lumi whispered one evening, her voice soft like starlight. "They only appear when someone runs fast enough to catch the wind."
Timmy didn't know what moon vitamins were, but he loved running. Every day after school, he would sprint through the meadow behind his house, faster and faster, trying to catch the wind in his hands. His sneakers pounded against the grass, his breath came in quick bursts, and his heart thumped like a tiny drum.
For weeks, nothing happened. Lumi grew paler, like a moonbeam at dawn. Timmy felt scared. What if his friend disappeared forever?
"Maybe I'm not running fast enough," Timmy worried. But he kept trying.
Then one magical evening, just as the sun began to set, something extraordinary happened. As Timmy sprinted across the meadow, golden droplets started forming in his wake - glowing, shimmering drops that hung in the air like captured sunshine.
Lumi appeared beside him, her eyes wide with wonder. "You did it! Those are moon vitamins!"
Timmy scooped the glowing drops into his pockets, where they pulsed with warmth like tiny hearts. He carried them to Lumi, who sipped them like nectar. As each vitamin disappeared, she grew brighter and stronger, her colors deepening from pale yellow to brilliant gold.
"But wait," Timmy asked, confused. "Why didn't they work when other kids ran? I always see them running through this meadow."
Lumi smiled. "Moon vitamins only appear for someone running with a pure heart - someone running to help a friend."
Timmy realized something amazing. The vitamins hadn't come from the moon at all. They'd come from him - from his courage, his loyalty, and his determination to save someone he cared about.
"You were never imaginary, were you?" Timmy asked slowly.
Lumi shook her head. "I've always been real. But friendship makes anything possible."
From that day on, Timmy ran every evening through the meadow, leaving a trail of golden vitamins behind him. But he didn't need them anymore - Lumi would never fade again. Their friendship had created its own magic, stronger than any spell, brighter than any moonbeam.
And sometimes, when other children ran through the meadow with pure hearts, tiny golden droplets would appear in their wake - waiting for someone who needed a friend.
