The Riddle of the Golden Pyramid
Luna was a small orange cat with big dreams. Every night, she gazed at the stars and imagined adventures far beyond her cozy garden. One magical evening, a silver fox named Felix appeared at her fence.
"Come with me," Felix whispered, his emerald eyes twinkling. "I've found something amazing in the desert!"
Luna followed Felix through fields of whispering grass until they reached a vast golden desert. There, rising from the sand like a sleeping giant, stood an ancient pyramid.
Inside the pyramid's shadow sat a gentle brown bear named Barnaby, who was guarding the entrance. "I've been waiting for you," Barnaby rumbled kindly. "The Great Sphinx needs help solving her riddles before sunrise."
Together, the three friends entered the mysterious pyramid. The walls sparkled with gems, and the air hummed with ancient magic. Deep inside, they found the Sphinx—a magnificent creature with the body of a lion and the face of a wise woman.
"Welcome, little friends," the Sphinx said, her voice like music. "I have guarded this treasure for a thousand years. Answer my riddle, and the gold is yours to share with those in need."
Luna's tail twitched nervously, but she stood tall. "We're ready!"
The Sphinx smiled. "What has a head but never weeps, has a bed but never sleeps, runs but has no feet?"
Felix thought quickly. "A river!" he exclaimed.
"Correct," said the Sphinx. "One more: I am not alive, but I grow; I don't have lungs, but I need air; I don't have a mouth, but water kills me. What am I?"
Luna's eyes lit up. "Fire!"
The Sphinx's laughter filled the chamber like golden bells. "You have answered wisely!" She waved her paw, and a door opened to reveal mounds of gold coins and jewels.
But instead of taking the treasure for themselves, the friends looked at each other and knew what to do. They carried the gold to nearby villages, where they helped hungry families, built schools, and planted gardens.
"True adventure," Luna purred happily, "is even better when shared with friends and used to help others."
And so, the cat, the fox, and the bear returned often to their pyramid friend, learning that the greatest treasure of all was kindness—and the magic of friendship.
