The Riddle of Friendship

Lily loved exploring behind her grandmother's house. One afternoon, she noticed something strange—the old stone **sphinx** in the garden had moved!

"Hello, little one," the sphinx spoke, her voice like wind chimes. "I've been waiting for someone brave enough to solve my riddle."

Lily's eyes widened. "What's the riddle?"

"What runs without feet, whispers without sound, and grows strongest when shared?"

Lily couldn't solve it alone. Luckily, she wasn't alone for long. Rustling leaves revealed an orange **fox** with the brightest eyes Lily had ever seen.

"I can help!" the fox offered. "I'm quick and clever."

A splash from the garden pond caught their attention. A beautiful **goldfish** leaped from the water and transformed—POOF!—into a tiny, glowing fish that could fly.

"And I'm magical!" the goldfish squeaked.

The sphinx nodded approvingly. "But you'll need strength too."

From the forest emerged a massive brown **bear**, but instead of frightening Lily, the bear smiled gently.

"I'm not scary," the bear rumbled softly. "I'm here to help."

Together, they set off, **running** through the magical woods that had appeared behind the garden. The fox led the way, darting between trees. The bear carried Lily on his shoulders when she tired. The goldfish lit their path with its sparkle.

At last, they reached a crystal cave where the answer waited: a glowing mirror showing them all together—fox, bear, goldfish, sphinx, and Lily.

"Friendship!" Lily cried. "That's the answer!"

The sphinx beamed. "Correct! And your reward..."

She touched Lily's forehead, and suddenly Lily understood—the real treasure wasn't magic at all. It was the friends she'd made along the way.

From that day on, whenever Lily needed adventure, she only had to visit her grandmother's garden. Her magical friends were always waiting, ready for their next quest together.
