The Rainbow Water Friend
Lily sat by the pond, dangling her feet in the cool water. Her mom had given her a vitamin that morning, but Lily felt lonely. No one wanted to play on this cloudy day.
Suddenly, the water began to shimmer. A tiny creature no bigger than a thumb popped up! It had sparkly blue skin and wings like a dragonfly.
"Hello!" squeaked the tiny friend. "I'm Pip! Are you lonely too?"
Lily nodded. "Nobody wants to play today."
Pip's wings fluttered. "That's because they're missing something special! Come with me!"
Pip dove into the water, and Lily leaned close. Through the ripples, she saw an underwater cave glowing with rainbow light.
"This is the Friendship Spring," Pip explained. "The water here is magic! Each color is a different friendship vitamin!"
Lily gasped. "You mean vitamins can be magical?"
"The BEST vitamins come from friendship!" Pip swam through red water, then orange, then yellow. "Red water gives courage. Orange water makes you giggle. Yellow water warms your heart like sunshine!"
Pip scooped up some shimmering blue water. "And this blue water? This is the most special vitamin of all. It helps you make friends!"
Lily dipped her fingers in the blue water. It felt like a hug! Suddenly, she noticed other children gathering by the pond.
"Go share it!" Pip said.
Lily ran to the others, her heart full of magic. "Want to play?" she asked. And suddenly, everyone was laughing and splashing in the pond.
That night, Lily looked at her vitamin bottle. Now she knew the truth: friendship was the most important vitamin of all, and magical water from a true friend's heart was the best medicine in the world.
And sometimes, if you looked close enough, you could still see Pip dancing in the ripples, spreading friendship magic wherever water flowed.
