The Rainbow Pool's Secret

Lily loved the old swimming pool at the bottom of her garden, even though it had been empty for years. But on the first day of summer vacation, something magical happened. The cracked concrete pool filled with sparkling, shimmering water that changed colors like a sunset.

Lily gasped. "You can talk?"

"Magic pools make many things possible," Barnaby winked. "Want to see something amazing?"

Barnaby reached into his thick brown hair and pulled out a handful of sparkling bubbles. Each bubble showed a happy memory — children playing, families hugging, friends sharing secrets.

"These are joy-bubbles," Barnaby explained. "I collect happiness in my fur and share it with children who need it."

Lily had just moved to this town and hadn't made any friends yet. Her eyes filled with tears.

Barnaby gently patted her shoulder with his big paw. "The pool showed me you were lonely. That's why I woke up. Every tear you've cried has been stored here, but now — " He waved his paw, and the pool turned brilliant gold. " — we turn sadness into adventures!"
