Lily loved exploring her grandmother's attic. One rainy afternoon, she found something peculiar: a thick, colorful cable that seemed to shimmer like a rainbow. Grandma had called it her "thinking cable," claiming it connected to magical worlds.

"But you must take your friendship vitamin first," Grandma had always said, pressing a small orange gummy into Lily's hand. "For courage and kindness."

Lily popped the vitamin into her mouth. It tasted like sunshine and strawberries. She plugged the rainbow cable into the old television set — and *zap!* The screen flickered with sparkles.

Out tumbled a sad little creature with green skin and mismatched buttons. "I'm a zombie teddy bear," he sniffled. "Children forgot me, so I became lonely and fuzzy."

Lily wasn't scared. The zombie bear looked more huggable than haunting. "What's your name?"

"Buttons," he said, brightening. "Will you be my friend?"

"Yes!" Lily hugged him. "But why are you here?"

"The cable calls lonely toys to children who need friends," Buttons explained. "Grandma's friendship magic made it work!"

Lily realized the vitamin wasn't just candy — it had given her the courage to meet someone different. She and Buttons spent the afternoon playing games and sharing stories. When Grandma peeked into the attic, she smiled knowingly.

"Some vitamins help your body, and some help your heart," Grandma whispered. "The real magic was choosing friendship all along."
