The Rainbow Bull's Secret
Lily loved her little blue padel boat. Every day after school, she'd paddle down the Sparkle River, watching the water dance like diamonds in the sunlight.
One afternoon, she heard a strange sound: *clomp, clomp, drag... clomp, clomp, drag.* Lily hid behind a willow tree and peeked out.
There it was! A zombie! But it wasn't like the scary ones in movies. This zombie wore a funny hat with flowers, moved super slowly, and looked kind of... sad.
"Why the long face?" Lily called out bravely.
The zombie jumped. "Oh! I'm Zimmy. I'm looking for my friend's hair brush."
Lily's eyes widened. "Your friend?"
Zimmy nodded toward the meadow. "Barnaby. He's a magical bull with the most beautiful hair ever—hair that changes colors with his mood! But he lost his favorite brush, and now his hair is all tangly. He's too embarrassed to come out."
Lily gasped. "A rainbow bull?! I want to help!"
Using her padel like a magical wand, Lily searched the riverbank while Zimmy combed through the tall grass. They looked under rocks and behind bushes until—*SNAP!* Zimmy's foot caught something.
There, tangled in a vine, was the most beautiful hair brush Lily had ever seen, with golden bristles that sparkled.
They rushed to the meadow. There was Barnaby, his magnificent hair swirling like cotton candy—pink when he was nervous, now turning purple with hope.
Lily gently brushed his flowing hair while Zimmy did a silly dance. Barnaby's hair turned bright yellow—JOY!
"Thank you!" Barnaby rumbled softly. His coat shimmered like stardust.
Now, every weekend, Lily paddles her boat to visit her three magical friends. Zimmy wasn't scary at all—he just needed someone to give him a chance. Barnaby wasn't just a bull—he was a friend with rainbow hair and a heart of gold.
And Lily learned that sometimes, the scariest-looking things turn out to be the most wonderful friends of all.
