The Rainbow Bull of Palm Island
Lily discovered something magical on her first day at the beach. Behind the big hotel, where no one else looked, stood a lonely palm tree. But this wasn't just any tree - it had a tiny wooden door at its base!
Curious, Lily knocked. To her surprise, the door swung open, and out stepped the smallest bull she'd ever seen - no bigger than her shoe! But the most amazing thing was his hair: it flowed like a rainbow waterfall, shimmering with all the colors of the sunset.
"Hello!" said the tiny bull. "I'm Barnaby. Are you a friend?"
Lily giggled. "Yes! I'm Lily. How did you get such beautiful hair?"
Barnaby beamed. "It's my magic! Every morning, I collect the special vitamin berries that grow only on this palm tree. They make my hair glow with joy!"
He showed her the sparkling berries, each one a different color. "Want to try one?"
Lily chose a purple berry. When she ate it, she felt a warm, happy tingle spread through her whole body. Her worries about starting summer camp melted away like ice cream on a sunny day.
"These aren't ordinary vitamins," Barnaby whispered. "They're courage berries, kindness berries, and imagination berries!"
For the rest of the summer, Lily visited Barnaby every day. They shared stories, played games, and ate magic berries together. Lily became the bravest kid at camp, always helping others who felt scared or lonely.
On her last day, Barnaby gave her a special gift - a jar filled with friendship berries.
"So you'll never forget," he said. "True friends help each other shine bright."
Lily hugged her tiny friend goodbye. She didn't just leave with magical berries - she left with something even better: the knowledge that the best magic comes from kindness, friendship, and being brave enough to try new things.
And sometimes, if she looked very carefully at her palm, she could still see a tiny sparkle of rainbow light - a reminder that her friend Barnaby was never far away.
