The Pyramid's Secret Swing

Lila loved the old cardboard pyramid in her backyard. It wasn't just a box anymore—it was her castle, her spaceship, her magical portal to anywhere she could imagine.

One sunny afternoon, Lila was playing inside her pyramid when she noticed something strange. A shiny cable dangled from the sky, right through the pyramid's pointy top. It sparkled like stars caught on a fishing line.

"Hello?" she called, giving the cable a gentle tug.

Suddenly, the ground disappeared! Lila found herself swimming through clouds, her pyramid floating like a magical boat. The cable was her guide, pulling her upward into a sky painted in colors she'd never seen—purple like grape jelly, pink like cotton candy, blue like ocean dreams.

"Where are we going?" asked a tiny voice. Lila looked down to see Benny, her neighbor, floating beside her in his own cardboard spaceship.

"Adventure!" Lila cheered, and together they climbed higher and higher.

At the end of the cable, they discovered the Cloud Kingdom, where fluffy castle towers floated in the air. But something was wrong. The cloud people moved slowly, their eyes half-closed, their smiles faded.

"We've become cloud zombies," a cloud king explained sadly. "We stopped using our imaginations, and now we're just floating through days without wondering, without dreaming."

Lila knew exactly what to do. She pulled crayons from her pocket and began drawing on the clouds. "Draw what makes you happy!" she told the cloud people. "Dream big! Wonder why!"

Benny started making up silly songs. The cloud children began laughing and drawing pictures of flying dogs and rainbow rivers. One by one, the cloud zombies woke up, their eyes sparkling with curiosity again.

"Thank you," the cloud king said, pressing a silver star into Lila's hand. "You reminded us that imagination keeps us alive."

When Lila and Benny slid back down the cable, they landed softly in their own yards. Their cardboard pyramids were waiting, but now they glowed with a little bit of magic.

"Same time tomorrow?" Benny called.

"You bet!" Lila waved, clutching her silver star. She knew now that imagination was the greatest adventure of all—and the best friends are the ones who dream with you.
