The Pyramid's Secret Friend

Lila loved running through her grandmother's garden, especially on sunny afternoons when the flowers seemed to dance in the breeze. But today, her feet carried her toward something she'd never noticed before – a small, crystal pyramid hidden among the roses.

The pyramid shimmered with rainbow colors, and when Lila touched it, she heard a tiny voice say, "Hello!"

Inside the crystal pyramid lived a small, green creature called Zimby. "I'm not a zombie," Zimby explained, "even though I move slowly and my skin is green. I'm a Magical Garden Friend! My job is to help flowers grow."

Lila had always thought zombies were scary monsters from stories, but Zimby was kind and gentle. He showed her how he planted tiny seeds that became beautiful marigolds and petunias.

"The other garden creatures were afraid of me at first," Zimby said sadly. "They didn't understand that being different doesn't mean being scary."

Lila thought about how she sometimes felt different at school because she loved reading while other kids preferred running around during recess.

"Will you be my friend?" Zimby asked. "I could use someone to help me spread seeds."

"Yes!" Lila cheered.

Every afternoon after school, Lila visited Zimby in the crystal pyramid. They planted flowers together, and Lila discovered that Zimby's slow movements were actually careful and graceful. The garden bloomed more beautifully than ever before.

One day, Lila brought her classmates to meet Zimby. At first, they were nervous, but soon they were all laughing as Zimby showed them his magical dance that made sunflowers turn toward him.

"I learned something important," Lila told her grandmother that evening. "Just because someone looks different or moves differently doesn't mean they're scary. Sometimes, the most unusual friends are the kindest."

The crystal pyramid still glows in the garden, and if you look closely, you might see Lila and her friends running toward it, eager to help Zimby plant new seeds of friendship and wonder.
