The Pyramid's Secret Friend

Lily loved swimming more than anything. Every summer afternoon, she'd dive into her family's pool until her fingers wrinkled like raisins. But one day, something magical happened.

As Lily floated on her back, she noticed something glimmering at the bottom of the pool. It was shaped like a tiny pyramid, glowing with an amber light. Heart pounding, she dove down and wrapped her fingers around it.

Suddenly, the water began swirling around her like a giant whirlpool. Lily squeezed her eyes shut. When she opened them, she wasn't in her backyard anymore.

She stood in an underwater kingdom where colorful fish played tag through coral castles. A small creature with shimmering blue scales and friendly purple eyes swam toward her. It looked like a cross between a dolphin and a seahorse, with the biggest smile Lily had ever seen.

"Hello!" the creature bubbled. "I'm Finn! And you found my friendship pyramid!"

Lily's eyes went wide. "Friendship pyramid?"

Finn nodded. "It appears when someone needs a friend. The ocean magic knows things." He showed her a special padel made from a piece of driftwood. "Want to play? We use this to shape the water into bubbles that carry wishes to the surface."

Lily and Finn spent what felt like hours playing, making bubble-wishes and learning about each other's worlds. Lily told Finn about her school and her dreams of becoming a marine biologist. Finn taught her the secret language of dolphins and showed her the most beautiful coral gardens.

"I have to go home soon," Lily said finally, feeling sad.

"Don't worry," Finn said, pressing the pyramid into her hand. "Whenever you hold this and think of me, we'll be connected. True friends are never really apart."

The water swirled again, and Lily found herself back in her pool, the pyramid warm in her palm.

That night, Lily made a bubble-wish with her new friend. She wished that everyone could find a friend as wonderful as Finn. And as she drifted off to sleep, she heard the ocean whisper back: "Friendship is the strongest magic of all."
