The Pyramid's Friendly Guardian

Lily loved exploring her grandmother's dusty attic. One rainy afternoon, she discovered something extraordinary: a golden pyramid tucked inside an old trunk. The pyramid glowed mysteriously, and when Lily touched its smooth surface, she was whisked away to a magical desert land.

The pyramid stood tall and gleaming under a starry sky. Lily approached cautiously, her heart pounding with excitement. Suddenly, a figure appeared from behind the ancient structure. It was a zombie – but not like the scary ones in movies! This zombie had green skin that sparkled like emeralds, and instead of groaning, he waved shyly with a friendly smile.

"Hello there!" the zombie said cheerfully. "I'm Zed, and I've been guarding this pyramid for five hundred years. It gets quite lonely."

Lily's fear melted away. "I'm Lily! What are you guarding?"

"The Pyramid of Dreams," Zed explained, his eyes twinkling. "Inside, children's happiest memories are kept safe forever. Would you like to see?"

Hand in hand – Lily's small hand and Zed's friendly green one – they entered the pyramid. The walls shimmered with thousands of glowing crystals, each containing a precious memory: a first bike ride, a birthday party, a puppy's lick.

"Every child needs a friend to help them remember their joy," Zed said softly. "Even guardians like me get lonely sometimes."

Lily realized that even someone who looked different could be the kindest friend. She placed her favorite memory into a crystal: the day she got her very own adventure hat.

"Thank you, Zed," Lily whispered, hugging her new friend. "I'll never forget you."

When Lily opened her eyes, she was back in the attic, the golden pyramid in her hands. But now it glowed warmer than before, and she knew she would never be truly alone. Some friendships, she discovered, last forever – even between a little girl and a friendly zombie who guards dreams.
