The Pyramid of Wishes
Lila skipped through the golden sand, her bare feet making tiny footprints that disappeared almost as quickly as she made them. The sun shone bright above her, like a giant coin in the blue sky. She was searching for something special today—something she had heard about in stories her grandmother told.
Suddenly, she saw it. A small pyramid, no taller than her knees, made of sparkling purple crystals that seemed to glow from inside. Around it grew a single palm tree, its green leaves waving hello in the gentle breeze. Lila ran closer, her heart beating fast with excitement.
"Welcome, young traveler," said a voice. Lila looked around but saw no one. Then she noticed something amazing—a tiny bull with golden horns and silver fur, standing beside the pyramid! He was only the size of her hand.
"I'm Buster," the little bull said, bowing his head politely. "And I'm the keeper of the Pyramid of Wishes."
Lila's eyes grew wide. "Wishes? Like magic wishes?"
Buster nodded. "But there's one rule. Whatever you wish for must help someone else, not just yourself. The pyramid grants only wishes that come from a kind heart."
Lila thought about her friend Tomas, who lived in the village nearby. Tomas couldn't run and play like other children because his legs were weak. What he wanted most was to splash and play in the cool water like everyone else.
"I wish," Lila said softly, placing her hand on the crystal pyramid, "that Tomas could dance in the water with all the other children."
The pyramid began to glow brighter than ever. A small stream of magical water bubbled up from beneath it, forming a crystal-clear pool. The water sparkled with rainbow colors.
"Your wish has been heard," Buster said with a smile. "Tomorrow, when Tomas touches this water, he will be able to run and dance and play. But you must promise me something—bring him here, and become his friend. The magic works best when shared with friendship."
Lila promised, and she kept her word. The next morning, she brought Tomas to the magical pyramid. When he touched the enchanted water, his legs grew strong. He laughed and danced and splashed, and Lila danced right beside him, her new best friend.
And every day after, they visited the little golden bull and his magical pyramid, always bringing other children who needed help. Lila learned that the best magic isn't the kind that sparkles and glows—it's the magic of kindness, friendship, and helping others.
The purple pyramid still stands there today, waiting for children with kind hearts to make their wishes come true.
