The Pyramid of Wishes
Barnaby was a small brown dog with floppy ears and a very big imagination. Every night, he would press his nose against the glass bowl where Goldie, his orange goldfish friend, swam in lazy circles.
'I wish I could see the world,' Barnaby sighed one evening. Goldie swam closer to the glass and — to Barnaby's amazement — spoke in a voice like tiny bubbles popping.
'Tonight, you shall,' Goldie bubbled. 'But you must be brave.'
Suddenly, the water in the bowl began to swirl, forming a glowing blue portal. Barnaby's heart pounded like a little drum. He stepped through — and found himself standing beneath a towering palm tree made entirely of silver moonlight. Its leaves shimmered and whispered secrets of the night.
'Climb,' said Goldie, now floating beside him like a glowing lantern.
Barnaby climbed and climbed until he reached something incredible — a golden pyramid floating among the stars! Its sides sparkled with the dreams of children everywhere.
But guarding the entrance was the Great Celestial Bull, massive and magnificent, with horns like crescent moons and eyes full of ancient wisdom.
'Only the pure of heart may enter,' the Bull rumbled gently.
Barnaby thought of how he always shared his treats, how he protected his friends, how he dreamed of adventures. 'I just want to see the world,' he said honestly.
The Bull smiled and stepped aside. Inside the pyramid, Barnaby found rooms filled with swirling colors — each one a child's dream becoming real. He saw dragons dancing, trees that grew candy, and oceans made of lemonade.
'You may make one wish,' Goldie whispered.
Barnaby thought carefully. 'I wish that every child could have a friend as wonderful as you.'
The pyramid blazed with golden light. When Barnaby opened his eyes, he was back in his room, nose against the fishbowl. But now, every child who dreamed that night found a special friend waiting for them — a magical companion who understood their heart.
And somewhere among the stars, the Great Bull nodded, while the silver palm tree shimmered on, guarding the dreams of all who believe.
