The Pyramid of Wishes

Ruby loved playing baseball in her backyard. She could hit the ball so high it seemed to touch the clouds! One hot afternoon, she swung her bat with all her might, and the ball sailed over the fence—right into old Mr. Pennyworth's pool.

Ruby climbed the fence carefully. The pool was empty, but something strange shimmered at the bottom. A tiny golden pyramid, no bigger than her fist, glowed in the sunlight.

"Wow!" she whispered, sliding down the pool's curved side.

As she reached for the pyramid, it floated into her hands. A gentle voice echoed in her mind: "I am the Pyramid of Wishes. I grant one wish to those with pure hearts."

Ruby's heart raced. She could wish for anything! A million baseballs? A castle? To be the strongest player ever? But then she remembered her little brother Toby, who always felt tired and weak. The doctor said he needed special vitamins to get better.

"I wish," Ruby said, "for magical vitamins that will make my brother Toby strong and healthy!"

The pyramid swirled with golden light and transformed into a bottle of sparkling tablets. "These vitamins are powered by love," the voice said. "Give one to Toby each day, and watch the magic."

Ruby rushed home with her treasure. The vitamins worked like magic! Within weeks, Toby was running and playing, full of energy.

That summer, Ruby learned something more valuable than any home run: true strength isn't about being the best player—it's about using your power to help others. And sometimes, the greatest magic of all comes from a loving heart.

From then on, whenever Ruby played baseball, she aimed not just for the fences, but for kindness in every game.
