The Pyramid of Wild Wishes

Lily had the most magnificent hair in the whole neighborhood. It wasn't just curly—it was a tangled forest of brown springs that stuck out in every direction, especially in the morning. Her mom called it a "hair adventure."

One Saturday, while playing baseball in her backyard, Lily hit the ball harder than ever before. It soared over the fence and landed somewhere in the dense woods behind her house. Lily chased after it, ducking under branches and pushing through tall grass until she stumbled upon something incredible.

There, hidden among the trees, stood a tiny pyramid made of sparkling crystal, no bigger than a lunchbox. It hummed with a soft, golden light.

"Wow," Lily whispered. She reached out to touch it, and her hair crackled with static. The pyramid glowed brighter and suddenly spoke in a chime-like voice: "I am the Pyramid of Wild Wishes. I grant one wish to those who are brave enough to be themselves."

Lily thought about all the things she could wish for—a million baseballs, perfect hair that stayed neat, or even the ability to fly. But then she remembered how her little sister Maya always felt left out when the neighborhood kids played baseball because she was too small to hit the ball properly.

"I wish Maya could play baseball with us and feel confident," Lily said, her hair swirling around her face like a friendly cloud.

The pyramid flashed brilliantly. When Lily opened her eyes, she held a small, crystal baseball bat that sparkled with rainbow light. "This bat will help Maya believe in herself," the pyramid chimed. "But the real magic comes from within her."

Lily ran home and gave Maya the bat. To everyone's surprise, Maya hit the ball on her first try—she'd always been strong, just too afraid to try.

That night, Lily looked in the mirror and smiled. Her messy hair was perfect just the way it was. Sometimes the best magic isn't changing who you are, but helping others see how wonderful they already are.
