The Pyramid of Wild Hair
Sophie had the wildest hair anyone had ever seen. It bounced around her head like a golden cloud, always tangling no matter how much she brushed. Other children sometimes gigged, which made Sophie wish she had ordinary, smooth hair.
One afternoon while playing in her grandmother's garden, Sophie noticed something sparkling near the roses. She discovered a tiny golden pyramid, no bigger than her thumb, with mysterious symbols etched along its sides.
When she pressed the pyramid's tip, it clicked open to reveal three small, shimmering tablets. Each glowed differently—soft blue, gentle pink, and warm yellow.
A tiny note read: "These are Magic Mood Vitamins. Each one reveals what's truly beautiful about you."
Curious and hopeful, Sophie tried the pink vitamin the next morning. It tasted like strawberries! As soon as she swallowed it, her wild hair began to glow with soft pink light, shimmering like cotton candy in the sunshine.
At school, Emma—a quiet girl who usually sat alone—gasped. "Your hair is amazing! It looks like magic!"
Sophie felt something warm bubble inside. "It does have a mind of its own," she said proudly. "And today, it's magical."
"I wish I could be brave like you," Emma admitted softly.
Sophie thought for a moment, then pulled out her pyramid. "I have two more vitamins left. The blue one shows truth, and the yellow one shows courage."
Together, they tried the courage vitamin. Emma's straight brown hair began to glow with warm golden light whenever she spoke up for herself. "I love reading!" she said, and her hair blazed brighter. "I want to be an astronaut!" The other children gathered around, mesmerized. Nobody was giggling anymore.
At lunch, Sophie and Emma sat together, their hair still softly glowing. They realized something important: the pyramid and vitamins weren't making them special—they had always been special. The magic just helped them see it.
Sophie ran her fingers through her wild, glowing hair. "I used to hate my messy curls," she said. "But now I think they're magnificent."
Emma nodded. "The vitamins didn't change us. They just reminded us to shine."
From that day on, Sophie never wished for ordinary hair again. The tiny pyramid stayed in her pocket, but she didn't need it anymore. She had learned that everyone has their own kind of magic—sometimes you just need a little help seeing it.
Her wild, wonderful hair was perfect exactly as it was.
