The Pyramid of Whispering Waters

Lily had always been the new girl. Moving to a different town every year meant she never had time to make real friends. But today, something magical was about to happen.

While exploring behind her new school, Lily discovered a shimmering pyramid half-buried in the creek. It wasn't stone or metal—it was made of crystallized water, glowing with rainbow colors. As she knelt beside it, the pyramid hummed, and droplets of water danced around it like tiny stars.

"I've been waiting for you," the pyramid seemed to whisper, not with words but with feelings that bloomed in Lily's heart.

The water pyramid showed Lily something extraordinary—reflections of children playing, laughing, sharing. Then it showed her sitting alone at lunch, reading by herself.

"True friendship flows like water," the pyramid's message rippled through her mind. "It must be given freely to grow."

The next day, Lily sat beside a girl named Mei, who was drawing colorful pictures of dragons. "Your dragon has friendly eyes," Lily said softly.

Mei's face lit up. "I'm Mei. Want to help me name them?"

That afternoon, Lily brought Mei to the water pyramid. As they sat together, the pyramid glowed brighter than ever, and tiny water droplets formed the shape of a heart.

"It likes us," Mei whispered, taking Lily's hand.

Lily finally understood. The pyramid wasn't magical because of what it was—it was magical because it brought people together. Like water, friendship fills the spaces in your heart you didn't know were empty.

And for the first time, Lily didn't feel like the new girl anymore. She felt like someone who had found exactly where she belonged.
