The Pyramid of Many Colors
Maya had the most extraordinary hair anyone in Sunshine Valley had ever seen. It changed color with her emotions — pink when she was happy, blue when she was sad, and sparkling gold when she was excited. But Maya was shy about her magical hair. She wore big hats and hid it away.
One afternoon, while exploring her grandmother's attic, Maya discovered a dusty wooden box. Inside sat a tiny crystal pyramid no bigger than her thumb. As she lifted it into her palm, the pyramid began to glow with rainbow light.
Suddenly, lightning flashed outside the window — even though it was a sunny day! The pyramid pulsed brighter, and Maya felt it tugging at her heart, whispering of an adventure waiting.
"Please," the pyramid seemed to say. "Take me to the Cloud Kingdom."
Maya's heart raced. Should she be brave? Her hair turned gold with determination. She climbed to the rooftop and held the pyramid high. A beam of rainbow light shot upward, forming a shimmering staircase right into the clouds!
Maya climbed higher and higher until she reached the Cloud Kingdom, where everything was made of soft white mist. But the kingdom was gray and fading.
"The Color Crystal has been stolen!" cried a cloud pixie named Puffy. "Without it, our kingdom will disappear!"
Maya knew what she had to do. With Puffy guiding her, she faced the Shadow Dragon who had taken the crystal. The dragon was lonely and only wanted friends. Maya didn't fight — she invited the dragon to play.
Touched by her kindness, the dragon returned the Color Crystal. As Maya placed it back in its throne, rainbows burst across the sky. The Cloud Kingdom sparkled with joy.
When Maya returned home, her hair shone with every color at once. She no longer hid it under hats. Instead, she wore it proudly, knowing that her differences were her greatest strength.
The tiny pyramid stayed in her pocket, a reminder that true magic comes from courage, kindness, and being yourself.
