The Pyramid of Magic Greens
Lily never liked spinach. Not in salad, not in soup, and definitely not on her plate at dinner. 'It's just green leaves,' she'd say, pushing it away.
One rainy afternoon, while playing in her grandmother's attic, Lily discovered something strange. Behind an old trunk sat a miniature pyramid made of shimmering green glass. It glowed with an inner light, calling to her.
When Lily touched the pyramid, she found herself inside a magical garden. Trees grew upside down, flowers sang soft melodies, and a tiny dragon with spinach-leaf wings fluttered above her head.
'Welcome!' the dragon chirped. 'I'm Sprout! Are you hungry?'
Lily's tummy rumbled. 'A little.' She hadn't eaten lunch.
Sprout led her to a vine covered in emerald leaves. 'Try this! It's magic spinach!' He popped a leaf into his mouth and suddenly grew twice as big.
Lily took a small bite. CRUNCH! It tasted like sunshine and adventure. Suddenly, she could hear the garden's flowers singing clearly. Their song was about friendship and how magic lives in the most unexpected places.
'Magic isn't just in fairy tales,' Sprout explained. 'It's in trying new things, in being brave enough to taste something different, in finding wonder everywhere.'
Lily ate another leaf. This time she understood the trees' secret language. They whispered stories about children who had visited before—children who had learned that the best discoveries come from keeping an open mind.
'Will you be my friend?' Sprout asked, his leafy wings shimmering. 'Real friends help each other grow.'
'Yes!' Lily hugged the tiny dragon. 'And I'll tell everyone about magic spinach!'
The pyramid faded, and Lily was back in the attic. But in her pocket sat a tiny green leaf that still glowed softly.
At dinner that night, Lily's jaw dropped when she saw spinach on her plate.
'I thought you hated spinach,' her mom said surprised.
Lily smiled mysteriously. 'I discovered something magical about it today.' She took a big bite, and somewhere, in a garden between worlds, a tiny dragon cheered for his new friend.
