The Pyramid of Lost Friends

Leo and Mia were playing baseball in the backyard when the ball sailed over the fence and landed somewhere mysterious. They climbed over and gasped—a golden pyramid stood glittering in the neighbor's garden!

"How did we never see this before?" Mia whispered.

A thick cable dangled from the pyramid's peak. Leo tugged it. A door creaked open!

Inside, they found a teddy bear sitting on a velvet pillow. The bear's eyes twinkled.

"Welcome, friends," the bear spoke softly. "I am Guardian Ben. This pyramid grants one wish to those who are truly brave."

Mia stepped forward. "We wish for..." but suddenly, a zombie stumbled from the shadows! It looked green and wobbly.

Leo grabbed Mia's hand. "Run!"

"Wait!" called Guardian Ben. "Look closer."

The zombie sat down and sighed. "I'm not scary. I'm just lonely. Everyone runs away before they meet me."

Leo noticed the zombie held a baseball glove. "You like baseball?"

"I love it!" the zombie's face lit up. "But nobody plays with me."

Mia smiled. "We will!"

They spent the afternoon playing baseball with their new friend, Zomby the zombie. Guardian Ben watched happily from his pyramid.

"You made the best wish of all," Ben said. "You didn't ask for toys or treats. You chose friendship. That's the strongest magic in the world."

That day, Leo and Mia learned that sometimes the scariest things just need a friend—and that the best adventures begin with an open heart.
