The Pyramid of Hidden Wishes

Lila loved running along the beach, her bare feet sinking into warm sand. One morning, she spotted something unusual—a massive pyramid rising from the shoreline, made entirely of glittering seashells.

Curious, Lila stepped closer. A small door opened, revealing a tiny old woman with silver hair. "Welcome, child," she said. "I am Maya, keeper of the Wishing Pyramid."

Inside, the walls sparkled with pearls. In the center stood a glass case holding a golden cable that seemed to hum with magic.

"This is the Cable of Courage," Maya explained. "It connects to anyone who needs help being brave. But it only works for those with kind hearts."

Just then, a crying voice echoed from outside. A boy named Leo sat alone in the sand, holding a twisted ankle. He'd tried to join the other children playing but fell.

Lila's palm tingled. "May I use the cable to help him?"

Maya smiled. "Your wish is pure. Hold the cable and think of courage."

Lila wrapped her fingers around the golden strand. Warmth flooded through her. She hurried outside and knelt beside Leo.

"I'll help you," Lila said, offering her hand. With the cable's magic, she gently supported him as he stood. Together, they hobbled toward the other children.

"Wait!" Lila called. "Leo wants to play too!"

The children stopped running and gathered around. They helped Leo sit, then included him in their game, passing the ball gently so he could play.

Maya appeared beside Lila. "You didn't just use the cable—you became one. True courage isn't magic. It's kindness."

That night, Lila noticed something in her palm—a tiny golden sparkle, like a piece of the cable. It faded, but the warmth remained.

From then on, whenever she saw someone lonely or afraid, her palm would tingle, reminding her: be brave, be kind, include everyone.

The Wishing Pyramid disappeared the next day, but Lila didn't need magic anymore. She had discovered something better—the power of friendship.
