The Pyramid of Hidden Powers
Leo hated spinach. Every time his mom put those green leaves on his plate, he made a face. 'It's like eating grass from the backyard!' he complained.
One summer afternoon, Leo was swimming in his grandmother's pool when he noticed something shimmering at the bottom. He took a deep breath and dove deeper than he ever had before.
There, resting on the pool floor, was a tiny golden pyramid, glowing with soft blue light.
Leo grabbed it and swam to the surface. As soon as his fingers touched the pyramid, it grew larger—big enough to walk inside!
Inside the pyramid, Leo met a friendly green turtle named Shellby. 'Welcome, young adventurer!' Shellby said. 'I've been waiting for someone brave enough to dive deep.'
'Why me?' Leo asked.
'Because inside this pyramid, every food gives you special powers,' Shellby explained, opening a magical cookbook. 'Spinach makes you super strong. Carrots help you see in the dark. Fish makes you swim faster than a dolphin.'
Leo's eyes grew wide. 'Really?'
Shellby nodded. 'These foods contain something called vitamin—a special kind of magic that helps your body grow strong and healthy. But the magic only works if you believe in it.'
Leo thought about all the times he had refused to eat his vegetables. 'I never knew healthy food was magical.'
'Someone who refuses the magic can never become a true adventurer,' Shellby said kindly. 'But someone who tries everything becomes stronger than they ever imagined.'
Leo promised Shellby he would give spinach another chance. When he returned home for dinner, he ate every bite of his spinach salad. To his surprise, it wasn't so bad—and he did feel a little stronger.
That night, Leo dreamed of new adventures, knowing that the real magic wasn't inside a pyramid at the bottom of a pool. The real magic was inside him, growing stronger with every healthy bite.
