The Pyramid of Dreams
Lily loved her visits to Grandma's house, especially the garden behind the old wooden shed. That's where the magic pyramid stood—a crystal structure no bigger than a lunchbox, glowing softly in the moonlight.
Inside the pyramid lived Finnegan, a tiny orange goldfish with sparkly scales that shimmered like sunset. But Finnegan wasn't just any goldfish. He could swim through the air as if it were water, and he could talk!
"Lily!" Finnegan would bubble, his voice sounding like tiny bells. "Tonight's the night! The Great Bull is coming!"
The Great Bull wasn't scary at all. He was a magnificent creature with a coat that looked like midnight sprinkled with stars. His horns were made of pure moonlight, and when he breathed, little puff clouds shaped like butterflies floated from his nose.
One evening, the pyramid began to hum. Finnegan swam excitedly in circles. "The Great Bull needs our help! His dream field is disappearing!"
Lily climbed onto the Great Bull's back, and Finnegan swam beside them like a guiding star. Together they soared into the sky, leaving the garden behind.
Below them stretched the Dream Field—a meadow where children's dreams grew like flowers. But something was wrong. Gray weeds were choking the colorful dream blossoms.
"We must plant new dreams!" said the Great Bull sadly.
Lily closed her eyes tight and thought of her happiest wishes—ice cream mountains, rainbow bridges, dancing with friends. She felt something warm in her pocket—the pyramid was glowing!
Finnegan swam around the pyramid, and suddenly, golden dream seeds poured from it like glitter. Wherever they landed, new dreams sprouted instantly.
The Great Bull laughed, his breath creating cloud butterflies that carried the seeds further. Soon the Dream Field was blooming again—brighter and more beautiful than before.
"Thank you," the Great Bull whispered. "The pyramid chose you, Lily, because your heart is full of kindness. Dreams need friendship to grow."
Lily learned that night that magic isn't just about spells and creatures. It's about believing in wonderful things and sharing them with others. And sometimes, the smallest goldfish and the biggest bull can be the best of friends.
Every full moon, Lily still visits the pyramid. She, Finnegan, and the Great Bull tend the Dream Field together, planting seeds of hope and wonder for children everywhere.
