The Pyramid of Dream Light

Maya was a girl with stars in her eyes and adventure in her heart.

One afternoon, while playing in her garden, she noticed something strange. Her fluffy orange cat, Marmalade, was pawing at a patch of dirt near the old oak tree. When Maya knelt beside him, she saw something glimmering beneath the leaves.

"What is it, Marmalade?" she whispered.

The cat meowed insistently, his golden eyes bright with mystery. Maya dug carefully with her small hands until she uncovered something extraordinary—a tiny pyramid made of crystal, no bigger than her thumb, glowing with a soft blue light from within.

As Maya held the pyramid up to the sun, it grew warm in her palm. Suddenly, the pyramid opened like a flower, revealing a single, shimmering droplet inside. The droplet was unlike anything she had ever seen—it swirled with rainbows and sparkled like captured starlight.

An ancient voice, gentle as a lullaby, whispered from the pyramid: "This is the last Dream Vitamin. For a thousand years, this pyramid has protected the magic of childhood dreams. But the supply is running low. Without it, children everywhere will forget how to imagine."

Maya's eyes widened. "But what can I do? I'm just a girl with a cat."

"Ah," the voice said warmly, "but do you know what the true ingredients of a Dream Vitamin are?"

The crystal pyramid projected tiny images into the air: children laughing, friends sharing stories, artists painting, explorers discovering.

"Dream Vitamins are made from wonder," the voice explained. "Every time a child imagines something impossible, every time friends share a story, every time curiosity leads to discovery—new Dream Vitamins are created. The pyramid collects them to keep magic alive in the world."

Maya looked at Marmalade, who purred loudly.

"My cat helped me find you," Maya said. "Does that count?"

"More than you know," the voice answered. "Friendship between humans and animals is one of the most powerful sources of magic. Together, you have already created three fresh Dream Vitamins."

The pyramid closed, and when it opened again, it was full to the brim with shimmering droplets.

"Take care of each other," the voice whispered. "Keep wondering. Keep exploring. And remember—the real magic was never in the pyramid at all. It was always in you."

That night, Maya dreamed of crystal pyramids and orange cats. And somewhere in the world, thousands of children dreamed of impossible things, their imaginations bright and burning, thanks to one curious girl and her cat.
