The Pyramid of Courage
Barnaby was a small golden **dog** with very big dreams. Every Saturday, he watched the children play **baseball** in the park, his tail wagging rhythmically as he imagined hitting a home run himself. But Barnaby had never been chosen for a team. He was too little, too clumsy, or so the other animals said.
One warm afternoon, while chasing a butterfly near the old oak tree, Barnaby stumbled upon something extraordinary. A tiny golden **pyramid**, no larger than a tennis ball, glowed softly beneath the leaves. It hummed with ancient magic, its surface covered in mysterious symbols that seemed to dance when Barnaby looked at them.
"The Pyramid of Wishes," whispered a wise old turtle who had been watching from behind a mushroom. "Inside lies a special **vitamin** – not for your body, but for your heart. One bite gives you courage beyond measure."
Barnaby's heart pounded. This was his chance! He could finally play baseball with the big kids, be strong and brave. But as he reached for the pyramid's magical door, he noticed something – a tiny bird trapped in a bush, its wing caught between thorns.
The pyramid pulsed with promise. Take the courage vitamin first, it seemed to say. Become powerful, then help.
But Barnaby didn't wait. He nudged the bird free with his wet nose, licking its feathers until it chirped with relief. The butterfly he had chased earlier landed on his head, as if giving him a tiny thank-you kiss.
The wise turtle smiled. "You didn't need the vitamin after all, little one. True courage isn't magic – it's choosing to help others even when you're afraid."
That afternoon, when the baseball team needed one more player, Barnaby stepped forward. Not because he had magical powers, but because he had something better – a brave heart that knew even small dogs could do big things. And as he hit the ball soaring across the sky, the pyramid in the woods glowed just a little bit brighter, as if it were winking at its new friend.
