The Pyramid in the Pool

Leo loved baseball more than anything. Every day after school, he'd practice in his backyard, hitting his favorite ball higher and higher into the sky.

One hot afternoon, Leo hit the ball so hard it sailed right over the fence and splash—landed right in the neighbor's swimming pool. The water rippled and sparkled in ways Leo had never seen before.

Curious, Leo tiptoed to the pool's edge. The ripples formed something amazing—a glowing pyramid made entirely of light, rising from the water's surface.

"Wow," Leo whispered.

The pyramid's top opened like a door, and a tiny creature appeared—a dolphin with shimmering scales that changed color like a rainbow.

"I am Pearl," the creature said in a bubbly voice. "You've discovered the Pool of Wishes! Every thousand years, someone's baseball awakens the magic pyramid."

Leo's eyes widened. "Can you help me find my ball?"

Pearl smiled. "First, you must answer a riddle: What has no hands but can catch, no feet but can run, and brings friends together like the sun?"

Leo thought hard. Then he grinned. "Baseball!"

"Correct!" Pearl cheered. The pyramid of light brightened, and suddenly Leo's baseball floated up, glowing with magic.

"This ball is now special," Pearl explained. "Every time you play with friends, it will remind them that the real magic isn't winning—it's playing together."

Leo promised to share this gift with his team.

From that day on, whenever Leo played baseball, something magical happened. Arguments vanished. High-fives appeared everywhere. Even when they lost, everyone left smiling.

Sometimes, when the sun hit the pool just right, Leo would see Pearl's rainbow tail flash beneath the water, reminding him that friendship is the greatest magic of all.
