The Pyramid in Leo's Palm

Leo swung his baseball bat with all his might. *CRACK!* The ball soared over the fence, disappearing into the dense woods behind his house.

"Great hit!" called his best friend Maya, but her cheer faded as the ball didn't come back down. "Where did it go?"

Leo's stomach twisted. That baseball was special—his grandfather had given it to him. He climbed through the bushes, pushing aside prickly leaves until he reached a small clearing he'd never seen before.

In the center stood a glowing pyramid no taller than Leo's knee, pulsing with soft golden light. The baseball sat beside it, but something was different—it was floating!

Leo reached for the ball. As his fingers grazed it, the pyramid's light wrapped around his palm, warm as sunshine. Suddenly, the ground rumbled.

From behind the pyramid emerged the biggest bull Leo had ever seen, with fur like storm clouds and eyes full of ancient wisdom. But Leo wasn't scared. The bull radiated kindness.

"Young guardian," the bull spoke, his voice like distant thunder, "you've found the Pyramid of Wishes. I am Ferdinand, its keeper."

"Wishes?" Leo whispered, his palm still tingling.

"Yes. The pyramid grants one wish to those with pure hearts. But be careful—the best wishes help others, not just yourself."

Leo thought of his grandfather, who couldn't play baseball anymore because of his bad leg. He thought of all the kids in his neighborhood who wanted to play but didn't have equipment.

"I wish," Leo said clearly, "for a magical baseball field where everyone can play, forever."

The pyramid flared brilliantly. When the light faded, the clearing had transformed into a beautiful field with a towering palm tree at each corner. The baseball in Leo's palm now glowed with the same golden light.

"Your wish is granted," Ferdinand said proudly. "Whenever friends play here with joy in their hearts, the magic will keep the field perfect."

Leo threw the glowing baseball to Maya. It sailed through the air, leaving a trail of sparkles.

From that day on, children from all over gathered at the secret field behind Leo's house. They played baseball under the shade of the palm trees while Ferdinand watched proudly from his resting place near the pyramid.

No one ever aged there, and every game ended in friendship.

Leo learned that day that the best magic isn't in wishes—it's in sharing joy with others. And every time he opened his hand to catch that glowing baseball, he remembered: true wealth isn't gold, but the friends who play beside you.
