The Pool Pyramid's Secret

Lily loved the water more than anything. Every summer day, she'd splash in her backyard pool until her fingers wrinkled like raisins. But one hot July afternoon, something magical happened.

Lily dove deep into the cool blue water, and when she opened her eyes underwater, she gasped. A tiny pyramid sat at the bottom of the pool, glowing with golden light. It was only as tall as her thumb, made of sparkling crystals that swirled with every color of the rainbow.

She swam down and gently touched it. WHOOSH! The pool water swirled around her like a giant bubble, lifting her up—up—UP until she was floating inside the pyramid itself!

Inside, everything was amazing. The walls dripped with chocolate syrup that tasted like marshmallows. Tiny fish made of lemon drops swam through rivers of strawberry soda. And there, sitting on a throne made of candy corn, was a sad little pyramid creature named Pippin.

"I'm the Guardian of Sweet Waters," Pippin sniffled. "But I'm all alone. Nobody wants to visit because they're afraid of the deep."

Lily's heart squeezed. "I'm not scared of deep water!" she said. "And I'll be your friend, Pippin!"

She showed Pippin how to do cannonballs into the chocolate river. They laughed so hard that lemon-drop fish bounced around them like popcorn. Pippin taught Lily to swim through strawberry soda without getting sticky.

"The world is full of magic," Pippin said, "but you have to be brave enough to dive deep to find it."

When it was time to go, Pippin gave Lily a crystal from his pyramid wall. "Whenever you miss me, hold this to your heart, and remember: the best adventures begin where you're afraid to go."

Lily surfaced in her pool, the crystal warm in her hand. The pyramid had vanished, but she knew something wonderful: sometimes the most magical friends are waiting in the deepest waters, and courage is just a splash away.
