The Pool of Wonder

Lily dropped her old iPhone into the swimming pool by mistake. But instead of sinking, the phone floated glowing with rainbow lights! The water began to bubble and sparkle like lemonade in summer.

"Whoa!" whispered Lily, her eyes wide like full moons.

Suddenly, a papaya the size of a beach ball bobbed to the surface. It had a friendly smile and danced on the ripples. "Hello, Lily! I'm Papaya Pete!"

"You can talk?" Lily gasped.

"In the Pool of Wonder, everything can talk!" Papaya Pete spun around. "But I'm not strong enough for our adventure. I need my friend Spinach Sam!"

A head of spinach popped up wearing tiny goggles. "Did someone call me? This pool has the BEST magical vitamins!"

"Vitamins?" Lily asked, dipping her toes in the warm, tingling water.

"Yes!" said Papaya Pete. "Every splash in this pool gives you a special vitamin power. Spinach Sam makes you SUPER strong like a superhero! And I make you BRAVE like a lion!"

Lily's little brother Max toddled over, his eyes shining. "Me want adventure too!"

"Hold hands!" commanded Papaya Pete. "Close your eyes and make the biggest splash ever!"

SPLASH!

Golden sparkles filled the air. Lily felt courage rushing through her like a rocket. Max grew strong enough to lift his beach ball over his head!

"Now we're ready!" cheered Spinach Sam. "The Magic Garden needs our help! The Rainbow Flowers have lost their colors!"

They dove through the glowing pool and tumbled into a secret garden where flowers drooped like sleepy rainbows. Lily knew what to do. She hugged each flower, sharing her brave vitamin magic. Max used his strong vitamin hands to lift the petals toward the sun.

One by one, the flowers bloomed brighter than fireworks. Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple—all the colors of the rainbow!

"We did it together!" Lily beamed, hugging Max tight.

Papaya Pete nodded wisely. "That's the best vitamin of all—friendship!"

Back in the regular pool, Lily's iPhone floated to the surface, no longer magical, just wet.

"Some days are ordinary," Lily told Max, wringing out her hair. "But our imaginations can make ANY pool into a Pool of Wonder!"

Max giggled, splashing water everywhere. "Adventure vitamin! Yummy!"
