The Pool of Wishing Waters

Lily loved the old swimming pool in her backyard. It wasn't just any pool – her grandmother called it the "water of wishes" because on full moon nights, it shimmered with an extra-special sparkle.

One hot summer afternoon, Lily jumped into the cool water with a splash. As she paddled around, she noticed something strange floating in the deep end. At first, she thought it was a log. But then it moved!

A small, green figure bobbed to the surface. It looked like a zombie – pale skin, messy hair, outstretched arms – but instead of saying "brains," it sang a tiny, cheerful song.

"Hello!" Lily called, treading water carefully.

The zombie waved clumsily. "I'm Zippy! I'm not a scary zombie. I'm a Wishing Zombie from the magical deep! I help wishes come true!"

Lily's eyes grew wide. "Really? Can you help me make a wish?"

Zippy nodded, sending little ripples across the pool. "The water here remembers all wishes. What does your heart desire?"

Lily thought hard. She could wish for toys, or candy, or even a trip to the moon. But then she remembered her little brother Tom, who had been sad all week because he couldn't swim like the bigger kids.

"I wish my brother could swim and feel brave in the water," Lily said.

Zippy smiled, and his pale skin turned a warm golden color. The pool water began to glow softly. "That's the best kind of wish," he said. "One that helps someone else."

He reached into the water and pulled out three sparkling bubbles. "These are勇气 bubbles – courage bubbles! Tom just needs to believe in himself."

That evening, Lily brought Tom to the pool. When Zippy's magic bubbles popped near him, something wonderful happened. Tom jumped into the water, and instead of being afraid, he laughed and splashed. He could swim!

"Thank you, Lily!" Tom shouted, grinning from ear to ear.

Zippy appeared one last time, now shimmering like a star. "Kind wishes always work best," he said, before disappearing in a rainbow of colors.

From that day on, the pool was extra special. And whenever Lily saw someone who needed help, she remembered that the best wishes are the ones that help others.
