The Pool of Wishing Stars
Lily loved visiting her grandmother's house, especially the secret garden behind the old palm tree. Its fronds danced in the breeze like green fingers waving hello.
One hot afternoon, Lily followed a sparkling blue butterfly past the palm tree and discovered something magical—a crystal pool she had never seen before. The water shimmered like liquid diamonds, and tiny stars seemed to float just beneath its surface.
"Oh!" Lily gasped, pulling out her iPhone to take a picture. But as she leaned closer, a drop of sweat fell from her nose and plinked into the water.
Suddenly, the iPhone glowed with rainbow light, and the stars in the pool began to rise into the air. They swirled together until a friendly creature appeared—a small sphinx with golden fur and emerald eyes.
"Hello, young friend," the sphinx said kindly. "I am Nova, guardian of the Pool of Wishing Stars. Your phone woke me from a very long nap!"
Lily's eyes widened. "You're real!"
Nova smiled. "Magic is real when you believe in it. This pool shows wishes that come from kind hearts. Want to see?"
The sphinx touched the water with her paw, and images floated up—children sharing toys, friends helping each other, people planting trees.
"These are the best wishes," Nova explained. "Not for toys or fame, but for kindness and friendship."
Lily looked at her iPhone, thinking about how she used it to play games alone. "I wish... for all my friends to come swim with me tomorrow. And for us to plant flowers for the butterflies."
Nova purred with delight. "A wish from a kind heart always comes true!"
The next day, Lily brought all her friends to the magical pool. They splashed and played while Nova watched, and together they planted a butterfly garden beneath the palm tree.
Lily learned that magic isn't just about wishes—it's about sharing joy with others. And sometimes, the best adventure is the one you share with friends.
