The Pool of Wishing Stars

palmbullpool

Lily discovered the magic pool on a hot summer afternoon. It wasn't an ordinary pool—it shimmered like liquid silver, and when she leaned close, she could see stars swimming beneath its surface, even though it was broad daylight.

"Hello?" she called. The ripples formed shapes, and suddenly, a tiny bull the size of a kitten appeared on the other side. But this wasn't any ordinary bull. His fur sparkled like crushed diamonds, and his horns were made of twisted moonlight.

"I'm Orion," the bull said in a voice like distant thunder. "I fell from the sky when I wished too hard on a shooting star. Now I'm stuck."

Lily looked around. The only thing nearby was an old palm tree leaning over the pool, its fronds casting dancing shadows on the water. "Maybe we can help you get home!"

Orion's eyes brightened. "But how?"

"The pool shows wishes," Lily said, remembering how the stars had appeared when she'd thought about her dream of flying. "What if you wish hard enough while touching something from up there?"

She climbed the palm tree and plucked a coconut—wait, no, that wasn't right. Then she saw it: a single star-shaped leaf, glowing faintly on the highest branch. With Orion's help (he was surprisingly strong for such a tiny bull), she reached it and placed it in the water.

"I wish to go home!" Orion called, pressing his nose against the star-leaf.

The pool erupted in silver light. Orion grew and grew until he became the magnificent bull from the constellation Taurus, galloping up a staircase of moonbeams. He paused at the sky's edge and looked back.

"Thank you, Lily!" he boomed. "Whenever you need courage, just look for my brightest star. I'll be watching over you."

That night, Lily found a silver horn charm beside the pool—a gift from Orion. She learned that magic exists everywhere, especially when you help others. And sometimes, the smallest pools hold the biggest adventures.
