The Pool of Starlight Dreams

Barnaby was a small golden dog with floppy ears and a very big nose for adventure. Every night, he would sit by the backyard pool, watching the stars dance on the water's surface. But tonight was different.

As the moon climbed high, its beam hit the pool at just the right angle. Suddenly, the ripples of light began to rise upward, forming a shimmering pyramid of silver right in the middle of the garden! It glowed softly, like a night-light made of moonbeams.

Barnaby's tail thumped with curiosity. He crept closer, his paws making no sound on the grass. Inside the pyramid, he could see something moving—something large and gentle.

A magnificent bull stepped out, but this was no ordinary bull. His fur was made of stardust, his horns were curved like crescent moons, and his eyes shone with the kindness of a thousand sweet dreams. The bull lowered his massive head and spoke in a voice like wind chimes.

"Hello, little friend. I am Orion, the Moon Bull. I guard children's dreams while they sleep. But tonight, I lost my way." He sighed, and stardust sprinkled down like glitter. "The pyramid brought me here, but I cannot find my way back to the sky."

Barnaby knew what to do. He nosed the bull toward the pool, where the moon's reflection still shone bright.

"Look!" Barnaby barked softly. "The pool can show you the way!"

Orion gazed into the water and saw the moon glowing there. "You're right, brave little dog. Thank you for helping me. Dreams need friends like you."

The bull touched his nose to Barnaby's forehead, leaving a silver mark shaped like a star. Then, with a joyful leap, Orion jumped into the pyramid of light and soared back into the night sky, trailing sparkles behind him.

Now, whenever Barnaby sleeps by the pool, he dreams of galloping across the moon with his friend the Moon Bull. And somewhere up in the stars, Orion watches over all the children of the world, making sure their dreams are sweet and full of magic.

Because sometimes, the smallest friends can help in the biggest ways.
