The Pirate's Lost Pyramid
Lily loved **swimming** more than anything in the world. Every summer day, she'd dive into the cool blue lake behind her house, pretending she was a mermaid exploring hidden kingdoms.
One afternoon, while diving deeper than usual, Lily spotted something strange glimmering in the water below. It wasn't a fish or a rock — it was a golden **pyramid**, perfectly smooth and mysterious, resting on the lake bed like a secret treasure.
Curious, Lily swam down and touched the pyramid's gleaming surface. Suddenly, the lake water swirled with rainbow colors, and a small green figure popped out from behind the pyramid!
The figure looked scary at first — pale skin, tattered clothes, and a slow, wobbling walk. "A **zombie**!" Lily gasped, ready to swim away.
But the zombie didn't chase her. Instead, it made a sad, bubbling sound and pointed to a crack in the pyramid where colorful jewels were trapped.
"You're not scary," Lily realized. "You're trying to save the pirate's treasure!"
The zombie nodded and smiled — not a scary smile, but a kind one. Working together, Lily used her strong swimming arms while the zombie used its surprising strength to push the pyramid's crack open. The jewels tumbled out, transforming into beautiful glowing fish that swam around them in gratitude.
The lake guardian — once trapped by a pirate's curse — was finally free. As thanks, it gave Lily a special pearl that would let her breathe underwater anytime she visited.
"Thank you for seeing past appearances," the guardian whispered before disappearing into the depths.
Lily swam back to shore, her heart full of magic. She learned that true courage isn't about facing scary things — it's about being brave enough to see the good in everyone, even when they look different than you expect.
And every summer after that, Lily returned to her secret underwater pyramid, ready for another adventure with her unexpected friend.
