The Phone That Flew to Pyramids

Maya loved spending summer mornings at her grandmother's house in Florida. The tall **palm** trees swayed in the warm breeze like dancers waving their leafy green arms.

One day, Maya was sitting under the biggest palm tree, playing games on her mom's old **iPhone**. Suddenly, the screen started glowing brighter than usual! Strange symbols appeared—triangles and swirls that Maya had never seen before.

"What's happening?" Maya whispered, her heart beating fast.

Whoosh! A beam of golden light shot from the phone screen. Before Maya could blink, she found herself standing in a hot, sandy desert. But this wasn't Florida anymore. Rising before her was an enormous **pyramid**, made of golden stones that sparkled in the bright sun.

A girl with dark hair and bright eyes ran toward her. "Hello! I'm Amira! Are you here for the Treasure of Friendship?"

Maya nodded, amazed. "I'm Maya. I... I don't know how I got here!"

Amira laughed. "The Magic Phone chooses special children who need a friend. Come! The treasure is at the top of the pyramid. But we must be quick!"

The two girls started **running** up the sandy path to the pyramid entrance. Maya's feet felt light as feathers. Inside the pyramid, torches lit up magically as they passed. Hieroglyphs on the walls seemed to dance and tell stories.

They climbed stairs and squeezed through narrow passages. Finally, they reached a small chamber at the very top. In the center sat a glowing golden box.

"Together," Amira said, taking Maya's hand.

Together, they opened the box. Inside wasn't gold or jewels. It was a mirror that showed two best friends laughing together—Maya and Amira!

"The real treasure is friendship," Amira explained. "Now you'll always have a friend, no matter how far away we are."

Suddenly, Maya felt herself being pulled back. She opened her eyes under the Florida palm tree, the iPhone in her hand. But now, etched into the phone case, was a tiny pyramid and two hands holding.

Every summer after that, Maya would visit her grandmother and sit under the palm tree. She would tap the phone, and sometimes, just sometimes, Amira's voice would echo through the speaker, laughing and telling stories from across the world.

Maya learned that magic is real—it lives in friendship, in imagination, and in the connections we make with others. And that's the greatest treasure of all.
