The Pharaoh's Magic Phone

Lily loved swimming more than anything. Every summer, she'd spend hours at the pool, pretending she was a mermaid exploring underwater kingdoms. One hot afternoon, while doing her favorite backstroke, something shiny caught her eye at the bottom of the pool.

She dove down and discovered an iPhone resting on the pool floor, somehow completely dry. Lily knew phones didn't belong in pools, but this one sparkled with mysterious golden symbols. When she pressed the home button, the screen didn't show apps or games. Instead, it displayed a glowing pyramid.

"That's funny," Lily whispered, tapping the pyramid with her wet finger.

Suddenly, the pool water began to swirl like a giant bathtub drain. Lily found herself sliding through a magical water tunnel that felt like a waterslide, but faster and more exciting than any ride she'd ever been on.

She splashed down into the most beautiful pool she'd ever seen—a crystal-clear oasis inside an enormous golden pyramid! Sunlight streamed through holes in the pyramid's walls, creating dancing rainbows on the water's surface.

"Welcome, young swimmer!" said a friendly voice. A boy about Lily's age appeared beside the pool, wearing ancient Egyptian clothes but a big smile. "I'm Prince Khami. My magic iPhone called you here!"

"Your iPhone?" Lily asked, bewildered.

Prince Khami laughed. "In my time, we called them 'wisdom stones.' Mine shows me people who love swimming as much as I do!"

The two children spent the afternoon playing in the pyramid's magical pool. The water never made Lily's eyes sting, and she could swim faster and longer than ever before. Prince Khami taught her ancient Egyptian diving games, and she taught him marco polo.

"This is the best swimming adventure ever!" Lily exclaimed, doing a happy cannonball into the warm, golden water.

Prince Khami's expression grew serious. "Lily, my wisdom stone showed me something else about you. You're kind to everyone at your swimming pool, even the kids who are still learning. That's why it chose you."

He pressed a symbol on his magic iPhone, and a golden light surrounded Lily. "This will help you be brave and kind whenever you swim—or anywhere else."

The pool water began swirling again. Lily found herself back at her neighborhood pool, still dripping wet but feeling wonderful. In her hand, she held the ancient iPhone, though now it looked like an ordinary one.

That day, Lily noticed a new girl sitting by the pool, looking nervous about entering the water. Remembering Prince Khami's kindness, Lily swam over with her biggest smile.

"Want to try swimming together?" she asked. "I'll stay right beside you."

The girl's face lit up. "Really?"

"Really," Lily promised, feeling warm inside. "That's what friends do."

As they swam together, Lily touched the phone in her pocket. The pyramid symbol glowed briefly, reminding her that kindness was the greatest magic of all—and the best adventures are the ones we share with friends.
