The Papaya's Orange Dream

Lily loved exploring her grandmother's garden. It was full of secrets and surprises, but the best surprise was hidden behind the old banana leaves.

One hot afternoon, Lily pushed through the leaves and found something wonderful—a small, sparkling pool she had never seen before. The water wasn't blue or green. It was the most brilliant shade of orange, like liquid sunshine!

'Grandma never told me about this pool!' Lily whispered, her eyes wide.

She held her papaya snack in one hand, a sweet treat Grandma had given her. Suddenly, a curious idea popped into her head. What would happen if she dropped a piece of papaya into the orange water?

Lily let one piece fall. *Splash!* The papaya didn't sink. Instead, it began to glow and grow bigger and bigger until it became a papaya boat—just the right size for a small girl!

'Whoa!' Lily climbed inside. The boat felt warm and smelled like sunshine and sweet fruit.

Suddenly, the pool expanded. Lily's papaya boat floated away from the garden and into an orange-colored world. Trees made of papaya leaves stretched toward the sky. Orange flowers sang soft melodies. Little orange fish with wings flew around her.

'Where am I?' Lily called out.

A tiny orange bird landed on her boat. 'You're in the Garden of Dreams, of course! Only kind children with pure hearts can find the orange pool.'

Lily spent the afternoon exploring this magical place. She made friends with the flying fish, danced with orange butterflies, and learned that sharing was the most powerful magic of all.

When the sun began to set, the bird said, 'It's time to go home, but remember—magic lives in kindness and curiosity.'

The pool shrank back to its normal size. Lily's papaya became a regular fruit again, but she didn't mind. She had discovered something far more precious than magic worlds.

'Grandma!' Lily ran back to the house. 'I found a pool! And I made a papaya boat! And everything was orange!'

Grandma smiled knowingly. 'The orange pool chooses special children to visit it. What did you learn?'

Lily thought hard. 'That magic is real, but kindness is the best magic of all.'

'That's right,' Grandma said, giving her a warm hug. 'And now, you'll always carry that magic in your heart.'

From that day on, Lily always looked at ordinary things—and especially at papayas and orange sunsets—knowing that magic might be hiding just beneath the surface, waiting for someone curious and kind enough to find it.
