The Papaya Pyramid's Magic

Baxter loved two things more than anything: his golden retriever named Baseball, and playing catch in the backyard. But today, Baseball was barking at something strange near the garden fence.

There, nestled between the tomato plants, grew the most unusual fruit Baxter had ever seen—a papaya shaped exactly like a tiny pyramid, glowing with soft purple light.

"Baseball, look!" Baxter whispered. The pyramid papaya pulsed like a heartbeat. As he reached out, it split open, revealing not fruit inside, but dozens of sparkling golden stars.

"Take one," said a voice like wind chimes. "These are courage vitamins—from the Star Garden."

Baxter's fingers trembled as he picked up a warm, glowing star. Immediately, he felt braver, stronger, kinder.

"They only work if you share them," the voice continued.

That afternoon, Baxter's friends couldn't believe their eyes. Timmy, who always struck out, hit a home run. Shy Maya spoke up for the first time. Even grumpy Mr. Henderson next door smiled and joined their game.

Baseball chased every ball with extra joy, his tail wagging so hard it made little tornadoes in the grass.

As sunset painted the sky, the pyramid papaya dissolved into golden butterflies that danced around the children. Baxter's hand still held one remaining star vitamin.

"For someone who needs it most," he said, pressing it into his little sister's hand. She'd been scared of the dark forever.

That night, her room glowed with bravery-light.

The real magic wasn't the stars at all. It was sharing them. Baxter learned that courage, like love, grows only when you give it away.
