The Palm Tree's Secret Pool

Lily loved exploring behind her grandmother's house. One afternoon, she pushed through tall grass and discovered something magical — a crystal-clear **pool** shimmering under an ancient **palm** tree.

But this wasn't just any pool. Tiny fish made of rainbow light darted through water that sparkled like liquid sunshine.

"Hello!" said a small voice.

Lily looked around. No one was there.

"Down here!"

A tiny creature with green skin and butterfly wings sat on a curled **palm** frond. He wore a vest made of flower petals.

"I'm Pip!" he said. "What's your name?"

"I'm Lily," she whispered, afraid she might scare him away.

"Want to see something amazing?" Pip asked. He hopped onto Lily's shoulder, which felt like being tickled by a feather.

Pip led her to the pool's edge. "This is where I make my special **vitamin** drops!"

"Vitamin drops?"

"Yes!" Pip dipped a leaf into the water. "These drops make flowers bloom bigger, make trees grow taller, and make anyone who drinks them feel happy inside. My grandmother taught me the recipe — one part sunshine, two parts moonlight, and three parts kindness!"

Lily watched in wonder as the water transformed into glowing golden drops.

"Will you be my **friend**?" Pip asked. "I've never had a human friend before."

Lily smiled. "Yes! But can we keep this our secret place?"

Pip nodded. "Friends who share secrets have the strongest magic of all."

Every day that summer, Lily visited the secret pool. She helped Pip collect morning dew and organize his vitamin drops by color. They told stories and laughed until their sides hurt.

One day, Lily's grandmother looked tired. Her garden, usually full of bright flowers, had wilted in the heat.

That night, Lily brought Pip to the garden. Together, they sprinkled a few golden vitamin drops on each plant. By morning, the garden was bursting with blooms. Her grandmother danced with joy.

"Real magic," Lily whispered to Pip, "is sharing good things with the people you love."

Pip squeezed her hand. "That's the most powerful vitamin of all — friendship."
