The Palm Tree's Secret Gift

Lila lived in a small house by the sea, where the sand was warm and the waves sang gentle songs. Every morning, she would visit her favorite spot — a giant palm tree that leaned toward the ocean like it was whispering secrets to the water.

One Tuesday, something magical happened. Lila noticed something orange and round hanging from the palm tree's highest branch. But palm trees don't grow oranges! She rubbed her eyes. Yes, it was definitely there — a bright orange fruit, glowing like sunshine.

"How did you get there?" Lila wondered aloud.

A soft giggle floated down from above. A tiny fairy with wings like butterfly wings peeked from behind a palm frond. "I put it there!" she said. "I'm Mango, and I need your help."

Lila's eyes widened. "A real fairy!"

"My friend Papaya — she's another fairy — lost her magic dust," Mango explained sadly. "Without it, she can't make fruits grow sweet anymore. The orange fruit is a clue. Whoever finds Papaya's dust will receive three wishes!"

Lila's heart beat fast. An adventure! "I'll help you!"

They searched under shells, behind rocks, and even in a little cave. Finally, Lila spotted something sparkling near a piece of driftwood. It was Papaya's magic dust, twinkling like tiny stars!

Mango clapped her hands joyfully. "You found it!"

Suddenly, Papaya appeared — a fairy with pink cheeks and a green dress. "Thank you, Lila!" She waved her hand, and the orange on the palm tree transformed into dozens of papayas, oranges, and mangoes, all ripe and delicious.

"Now for your wishes!" Papaya said.

Lila thought carefully. "First, I wish for everyone to have enough food." Papaya nodded, and golden sparkles floated toward the village.

"Second, I wish that all children could have a friend as wonderful as you fairies."

"And third?" Mango asked.

Lila smiled. "That you'll visit me every day."

The fairies hugged her. "We would do that even without a wish!"

From that day on, Lila, Mango, and Papaya had many more adventures. And the palm tree? It became known far and wide as the Giving Tree, because it always had the sweetest fruit — just like Lila's heart.
