The Palm Tree's Magic Gift
Lila loved visiting her grandmother's house by the sea. Every summer, she would play under the giant palm tree in the yard, collecting its fallen leaves and pretending they were magic wands.
One afternoon, a storm rolled in unexpectedly. Dark clouds gathered overhead, and rain began to fall in warm drops. Lilla stood under the palm tree's thick leaves, watching the sky light up with brilliant flashes of lightning. Each bolt was like nature's fireworks, sparkling and dancing across the dark sky.
Suddenly, a large palm frond fell near her feet. But this wasn't an ordinary leaf — it was glowing with a soft, golden light! Curious, Lila picked it up. The moment her fingers touched the smooth surface, the leaf began to fill with water, but not ordinary rainwater. This water shimmered and sparkled like captured starlight.
"This is magic," Lila whispered, her eyes wide with wonder.
She looked around and saw a small bird with a broken wing, huddled miserably in the rain. The bird looked so sad and hurt. Lila's heart went out to the poor creature.
Without hesitation, she dipped her finger into the magical water and touched the bird's wing. In a flash of golden light, the wing was healed! The bird chirped happily, flapped its wings, and flew up to perch on the palm tree, singing a beautiful song of gratitude.
"Magic is best when shared," Lila realized, pouring the rest of the enchanted water onto the thirsty garden. Flowers bloomed instantly, and the grass turned greener than ever before.
That summer, Lila learned that true magic isn't about keeping wonderful things to yourself — it's about using what you have to help others. And sometimes, the most amazing gifts come from the most unexpected places, like a lightning-blessed palm tree during a summer storm.
From that day on, every time Lila saw lightning during a rainstorm, she smiled, knowing that magic was everywhere for those with kind hearts and open eyes.
