The Palm Tree's Magic Gift
Lila lived on a tiny island where the sand sparkled like sugar and the waves sang lullabies. She loved exploring, especially the secret grove at the edge of the jungle where an ancient palm tree grew.
One morning, Lila discovered something magical. The palm tree's leaves weren't green anymore—they shimmered with rainbow light! And hanging from its branches weren't coconuts, but bunches of emerald-green spinach.
"Spinach on a palm tree?" Lila gasped. She'd never seen anything so wonderful.
The palm tree's trunk twisted into a friendly face. "Try one, little friend," it rumbled like gentle thunder.
Lila plucked a leaf and nibbled it. Suddenly, her curly brown hair began to glow golden! She could feel magic tingling through every strand. When she touched the ground with her hand, tiny flowers sprouted from the sand.
"You have the gift now," the palm tree said. "Use it wisely."
Lila rushed home to show her grandmother, but tripped over a root. Her hair stopped glowing as quickly as it had begun. Tears welled in her eyes.
"Magic isn't about showing off," her grandmother explained, hugging Lila. "It's about helping others."
Lila understood. She returned to the palm tree the next day and ate another spinach leaf. This time, instead of running to show someone, she walked to the village garden where nothing would grow. She touched the dry soil with her glowing hair, and suddenly—tomatoes, carrots, and strawberries burst forth!
The whole village celebrated. Lila visited the magical palm tree every day, always using its spinach gift to help others rather than show off.
And that's how Lila learned that true magic isn't about what you can do—it's about how you use it to make the world a better place.
