The Padel of Dreams
Lily discovered the old padel racket in her grandmother's dusty attic. It shimmered with an unusual green glow. When she swung it, a portal opened into the World of Wonder!
In this magical land, flowers sang and clouds were made of cotton candy. But something was wrong. The Baseball of Eternal Sunlight had been stolen by a lonely zombie named Zombunny.
"I'm not scary," Zombunny sniffled, his purple fur matted with leaves. "I just wanted someone to play with."
Lily's heart melted. This zombie wasn't frightening at all—he was just lonely, like she'd been before moving to her new school.
"I'll be your friend!" Lily promised. "But we need to return the baseball."
First, they had to cross the River of Spinach Soup. Lily took a sip—it tasted like sunshine! Suddenly, she could jump as high as the moon.
They reached Zombunny's cave, where the Baseball of Eternal Sunlight glowed warmly. But a giant grumpy squirrel guarded it.
"None shall pass!" the squirrel chattered.
Lily had an idea. She used her magical padel to hit the baseball. It flew through the air, leaving trails of rainbow light. The squirrel couldn't resist chasing it, leaping and twirling with joy.
While the squirrel played, Zombunny returned the baseball to its proper place in the sky. The land brightened instantly.
"Thank you," Zombunny smiled, his purple fur now fluffy and clean. "You taught me that real friends never need to steal attention—they earn it with kindness."
Lily waved goodbye as her padel pulled her back home. In school the next day, she saw a new boy sitting alone. She remembered Zombunny's lesson and walked over with a smile.
"Want to play together?"
And just like that, Lily made her first real friend—all thanks to a magical padel, a lonely zombie, and the courage to be kind.
