The Padel Court's Secret Magic

Lila, Marco, and Sophie loved their summer days at the community center. They would spend hours at the swimming **pool**, splashing and racing each other across the cool blue water. But today was different – the sky had turned an angry gray, and thick clouds rolled overhead like giant wool blankets.

"Look!" shouted Marco, pointing at the **padel** court. "The court – it's glowing!"

Sophie gasped. A streak of **lightning** had just struck the metal fence around the court, but instead of burning it, the whole court seemed to shimmer like a soap bubble. The familiar green surface now rippled with colors – purple, gold, and swirly blue.

"Should we go closer?" Lila asked, her eyes wide.

Before anyone could answer, another lightning bolt flashed. This time, it didn't just hit the court – it danced across it, creating patterns like invisible children playing a game. The three friends heard giggling, soft and twinkling, like wind chimes in a breeze.

"I think it wants us to play!" Marco cried, already **running** toward the magical court.

"Wait for us!" Lila and Sophie called, chasing after him.

As they stepped onto the court, something wonderful happened. Their paddles appeared in their hands, glowing with their own light – Marco's was golden orange like sunrise, Sophie's was ocean blue, and Lila's sparkled pink like cotton candy. The ball appeared too, but it wasn't an ordinary ball anymore. It was a tiny star, twinkling and bouncing as if alive.

They played the most amazing game ever. Whenever they hit the star-ball, it burst into mini fireworks. When they jumped to reach it, they leaped higher than normal – almost flying! The court responded to their happiness, glowing brighter with every laugh and cheer.

"This is the best day ever!" Sophie shouted, hitting a perfect shot.

But too soon, the storm clouds drifted away, and the magical glow began to fade. The court turned back to ordinary green, and their glowing paddles became regular ones again.

"Will it come back?" Lila asked softly, looking at the now-normal court.

Marco squeezed her hand. "I think so. But you know what?"

"What?" Sophie asked.

"We don't need magic to have fun together," Marco said with a grin. "We make our own magic!"

The three friends walked home, not **running** anymore, but skipping and planning tomorrow's adventure. They knew that with friendship and imagination, any ordinary day could become extraordinary – whether there was lightning or not.

And sometimes, when they looked back at the padel court during a storm, they could still see it glow, just a little bit, reminding them that magic exists for those who believe.
