The Orange Vitamin Mystery

Lily discovered something peculiar in her grandmother's attic—a bright orange bottle labeled "Magic Vitamin." Inside sat a single glowing orange pill that shimmered like a tiny sunrise.

"Curiouser and curiouser," Lily whispered, remembering her favorite books.

That night, she swallowed the vitamin. Suddenly, her bedroom wall rippled like water, revealing a secret passage! Following it, she arrived at a mysterious playground where nothing moved. The swings hung frozen. The slide stood still.

Then she saw him—a boy standing near a tennis court, holding a padel racket. His skin was pale gray, his movements stiff, like he was sleepwalking through a dream.

"Are you... are you a zombie?" Lily asked, her voice trembling.

The boy nodded sadly. "I'm Zed. I've been a zombie for three hundred years. I forgot how to have fun."

Lily's eyes widened. "Three hundred years? That's forever!"

"Forever without laughter," Zed agreed. "This playground was magical once. But then something broke—the joy cable snapped!"

He pointed to a thick orange cable dangling from the sky, its ends frayed and disconnected.

"The joy cable powers all the fun in this world," Zed explained. "Without it, everyone becomes a zombie like me."

Lily's mind raced. The magic vitamin must have brought her here for a reason! She grabbed the orange cable's ends. They were warm, humming with energy.

"Help me, Zed!" she called.

Together, they pulled. Lily's hands glowed orange from the vitamin's magic. Zed's strength returned as hope sparked in his gray eyes. The cable stretched, the ends drawing closer...

SNAP! The cable reconnected!

Orange light exploded through the playground. The swings began to swing. The slide sparkled. And Zed's gray skin turned rosy and alive.

"Thank you, Lily!" Zed cheered, tossing her his padel racket. "Let's play!"

They played until morning, when Lily found herself back in her bed. The orange vitamin bottle was empty now, but something new glowed on her nightstand—a small orange paddle.

Sometimes, Lily still visits the magical playground in her dreams. She learned that joy connects us all, and friendship is the truest magic of all.
