The Orange Vitamin Bear
Lily loved summer mornings. Every day, she would eat a juicy orange for breakfast. "This is my vitamin boost," her mom said. "It gives you energy for adventures!"
One sunny day, Lily and her dog, Buster, went swimming in Blue Creek. The water sparkled like diamonds. Suddenly, something round and orange floated past them!
"Look!" Lily cried. It was an enormous orange, bigger than a beach ball!
Buster barked happily and paddled toward it. But then a fuzzy brown head popped up from behind the orange. It wasn't a monster—it was a bear! A small, friendly bear with sparkling eyes.
"Hello!" said the bear, whose name was Bernadette. "I'm the guardian of the Magic Orange Tree. Every hundred years, it grows one special fruit filled with sunshine vitamin."
Lily was amazed. "Does it give you superpowers?"
Bernadette nodded. "It gives you the power to make friends anywhere—even between bears, dogs, and girls!"
Together, the three friends shared the magic orange. It tasted like sunshine and happiness. Suddenly, Lily could understand what Buster was thinking! And Buster could talk too!
"This is the best swimming day ever!" Buster said, wagging his tail so hard it made splashes.
From that day on, Lily, Buster, and Bernadette met every summer. They learned that the real magic wasn't in the orange at all. The best vitamin is friendship—and it fills your heart with sunshine every single day.
Now whenever Lily eats an orange, she smiles, remembering the day a bear taught her that magic is real, especially when you share it with friends.
