The Orange That Sparkled

Lily loved spending summers at her grandmother's house. The best part was the sparkling **pool** that seemed to glow when the sun hit it just right. But today, something magical was about to happen.

As Lily walked toward the water, she noticed a bright **orange** rolling across the patio. It wasn't a normal orange — it shimmered like it had tiny stars trapped inside. Curious, Lily picked it up and felt warmth spreading through her fingers.

Suddenly, the orange popped open like a magic present, and out jumped the tiniest boy Lily had ever seen! He was no bigger than her thumb, with silver hair and eyes that changed color like the morning sky.

"I'm Pip!" he said in a voice that sounded like wind chimes. "Will you be my **friend**?"

Lily could hardly believe her eyes. "Yes! But where did you come from?"

"I've been trapped in that magic orange for a hundred years," Pip explained. "I was cursed by a grumpy wizard who didn't like games. I was the best **padel** player in all the magical realm, and he was jealous."

Lily's eyes widened. "Padel? That's my favorite game too!"

Pip pointed toward the giant **palm** tree near the garden wall. "That's where the magic key is hidden. But I'm too small to reach it. Will you help me?"

Lily nodded and carried Pip to the palm tree. Together, they found a golden key hidden among the fronds. When Pip touched it, he suddenly grew to normal size!

"Thank you, Lily!" Pip cheered. "Friends who help each other break any curse. Now, would you like to learn magical padel?"

That summer, Lily learned that the best adventures start with being kind — and sometimes, the smallest friends bring the biggest magic.
